Privacy Policy

Effective August 1, 2026

1. Introduction

NexusCompute ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect when you use the NexusCompute platform (the "Service"), how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Service you agree to the practices described here.

2. Data We Collect

2.1 Account information

When you register, we collect your email address, display name, and a securely hashed passphrase. If you join or create an organisation, we also store the organisation name and your role within it.

2.2 Provider information

Providers additionally supply hardware specifications (GPU model, VRAM, location/country), a company name (optional), and bank account details routed through Stripe Connect for payouts. NexusCompute does not store raw bank account numbers — they are held by Stripe.

2.3 Usage data

We log inference jobs (tokens processed, latency, job status, timestamps), API key usage, and endpoint activity. This data is used to compute earnings, generate invoices, detect abuse, and improve the platform.

2.4 Payment information

Buyer payments are processed by Stripe. We store a Stripe customer ID and a record of your credit balance and transaction history. We do not store full card numbers, CVVs, or bank account details on our servers.

2.5 Technical data

We automatically collect IP addresses, browser type, referrer URLs, and session data (via encrypted server-side sessions) for security monitoring and fraud prevention.

3. How We Use Your Data

  • To operate the marketplace, process jobs, and settle payments.
  • To authenticate your identity and keep your account secure.
  • To calculate and pay Provider earnings via Stripe Connect.
  • To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms of Service.
  • To send transactional emails (account creation, payout notifications, billing alerts).
  • To comply with legal obligations, including tax reporting where required.
  • To improve the platform through aggregated, anonymised analytics.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your inference inputs or outputs to train AI models.

4. Third-Party Services

4.1 Stripe

Payment processing and Provider payouts are handled by Stripe, Inc. Stripe may collect and process your financial data subject to its own privacy policy.

4.2 Demand partners

When Provider nodes serve inference traffic from OpenRouter or Together AI, those platforms route job requests to NexusCompute. The content of those requests is processed transiently and is not stored beyond what is needed to calculate billing.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data within 90 days, except where we are required to retain it longer for legal or tax compliance (typically up to 7 years for financial records).

Inference job logs are retained for 90 days for billing reconciliation and fraud detection, then deleted.

6. Data Security

We use industry-standard security practices: passphrases are hashed with bcrypt, API keys are stored as SHA-256 digests, connections use TLS, and sessions are encrypted. We perform regular security reviews. However, no system is 100% secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate data via your account settings.
  • Delete your account and associated personal data.
  • Port your data in a machine-readable format.
  • Object to processing based on legitimate interests.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at . We will respond within 30 days.

8. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies for session management (keeping you logged in) and security (CSRF protection). We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

9. Children

NexusCompute is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us immediately so we can delete their data.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Material changes will be notified via email or a platform notice at least 14 days before they take effect. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
